Chief of Army Staff Warns Criminals, Deploys Over 1,000 Special Forces Nationwide

-

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has issued a stern warning to criminals threatening peace and security across the country, declaring that the Nigerian Army will confront them decisively until they abandon their violent activities.

General Shaibu gave the warning during the graduation ceremony of Exercise Restore Hope 9 at the Nigerian Army Base Camp in Kachia, Kaduna State.

He announced that more than 1,000 special forces personnel have been deployed to various theatres of operation to strengthen ongoing internal security operations nationwide.

“The Nigerian Army will not relent in its efforts to restore and sustain peace across the country,” the Army Chief said. “Criminals disturbing the peace must understand that they will meet the full might of the Nigerian Army until they repent from their actions.”

According to him, the deployment of additional special forces underscores the Army’s resolve to decisively tackle insecurity and protect law-abiding citizens.

General Shaibu also commended the graduating troops for their discipline and resilience, urging them to uphold professionalism and remain committed to defending the nation’s territorial integrity.

The Chief of Army Staff reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to working with other security agencies and stakeholders to ensure lasting peace and stability across Nigeria.
