Emir of Gadaka Assures Security as He Seeks Spine and Nerve Centre Expansion to Yobe

His Royal Highness, Dr Alhaji Isma’ila Mamman Gadaka, the Emir of Gadaka Emirate, has given strong security assurances to investors as he called for the expansion of the Spine and Nerve Centre to Yobe State, stressing that the region is safe for critical infrastructure.

Speaking at the grand opening of the Spine and Nerve Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, the monarch urged the clinic’s co-founder and Clinical Director, Dr Craig Slapinski, to establish a branch in the North-East, noting that improved security conditions now support such investments.

The Emir dismissed widespread fears about insecurity in the region, stating that Yobe is stable and adequately protected against threats.

“It is not everywhere that terrorists are in control. The North-East, particularly Yobe State, is safer now than many other parts of the country. So, the issue of attack or destruction of the facility does not arise,” he said.

He added that government security architecture and investments in public infrastructure, including hospitals, demonstrate the state’s readiness to safeguard lives and property.

The royal father further expressed confidence in ongoing national efforts to strengthen governance and security, pointing to constitutional reforms that could formally integrate traditional rulers into Nigeria’s security framework.

“The current government is working hard to ensure that traditional rulers have a role in the constitution. With the ongoing constitutional amendment, I believe traditional rulers will have a recognised role, which will help address these issues,” he noted.

While emphasising security, the Emir also highlighted the strategic importance of establishing advanced medical facilities within secure environments, noting that many Nigerians still travel abroad for treatment due to limited local options.

He said expanding the Spine and Nerve Centre to Yobe would not only improve access to specialised healthcare but also signal growing investor confidence in the region’s security and stability.

The Emir reiterated his commitment to supporting investors and ensuring a conducive, secure environment for development projects across the state. #Securitynewsalert.com
