CCTV Leads To Arrest Of Suspected Burglar Of Lagos Supermarket

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Yusuf Suleiman for burgling a supermarket after detectives viewed a Close Circuit Television (CCTV).

According to the Lagos State Police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspect was arrested by the Ilupeju Police Station.

The spokesman said that the complaint was received on the 14th of October 2024, at about 11:30 am.

The complainant had mentioned on the same date at about 3:30 am, she received a call that her supermarket had been burgled and items worth N893,000 were carted away by unknown thieves.

“It was based on the complaint, the scene was visited by detectives of the division, the CCTV was viewed and one Yusuf Suleiman was seen breaking into the premises stealing valuables. He was arrested. He has made a confessional statement, saying that he had disposed of the items at the notorious Idi-Oro suburb Mushin. The investigation is ongoing,” said Hundeyin.
