The Commissioner of Police for the Imo State Command, CP Audu Garba Bosso, officially congratulated Regular Course 8 Cadet ASP Officers from the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, following their successful completion of a two-month field attachment within the state.
The developmental program, which concluded on April 1, 2026, saw the cadet officers undergo intensive practical training across the Administrative, Investigative, and Traffic Departments. This immersion into core police duties and real-time operations was designed to provide the foundational knowledge and tactical skills essential for high-level service delivery.
During his address to the departing officers, CP Bosso lauded their discipline and commitment, noting that the rigorous attachment served as a vital bridge between academic theory and the practical realities of modern policing. He urged the cadets to maintain an unwavering focus on professionalism and to allow the core values of the Nigeria Police Force to guide their future conduct.
The Commissioner further charged the officers to remain diligent, uphold the fundamental rights of all citizens, and prioritise the maintenance of peace and security in their future postings. He emphasised that the Command’s investment in its training is a reflection of its broader commitment to institutional capacity building and the strengthening of public trust.
Following their stint in Imo State, the officers are scheduled to undergo further specialised instruction, including the Combat Operations Course at the Police Mobile Force Training College in Ende Hills, Nasarawa State, and leadership training at the Mountain School in Shere Hills, Jos.
Speaking for the cohort, C/ASP Innocent Emeka expressed gratitude to the Commissioner and the Command’s management team for the mentorship provided. He assured the leadership that the skills acquired during the attachment would be effectively utilised to enhance the efficiency of the Force.
