Easter: CP Oyo Deploys Strategic Security for Easter, Urges Public Vigilance

-

The Oyo State Police Command has announced a comprehensive, intelligence-led security rollout across the state ahead of the Easter festivities.

These proactive measures, designed to ensure a hitch-free celebration, align with the Inspector-General of Police’s broader public safety vision.

Commissioner of Police, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, assured residents that the Command has mapped out critical locations for maximum coverage. Security assets have been mobilised to protect worship centres, recreational facilities, major highways, and other vital public spaces.

The Command is working in close synergy with sister security agencies to maintain a visible and effective presence throughout the state before, during, and after the holiday period.

In his Easter message, CP Olugbenga congratulated the Christian faithful, urging them to embody the spirit of the season through love, humility, and peaceful coexistence. Beyond the festivities, the Commissioner emphasised that effective policing relies heavily on community partnership.

He noted that accurate and timely information remains the fuel upon which effective policing thrives, stressing that public cooperation is essential to overcoming operational challenges.

The Commissioner also extended his appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olutunji Rilwan Disu, attributing the Command’s enhanced operational effectiveness to the IGP’s visionary leadership and continued support.

Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities immediately. The Command has provided the Oyo State Toll-Free Line at 615 and the Police Control Room at 08081768614 or 07055495413. #Securitynewsalert.com
