Governor Yusuf Mourns Killing of Kano Woman, Children, Orders Arrest of Suspects

-

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep sorrow over the killing of a woman and her children in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters of Kano, describing the incident as “barbaric, senseless and a grave assault on human dignity.”

The governor’s reaction was contained in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Saturday.

Governor Yusuf extended condolences to the bereaved family, residents of Dorayi Chiranchi and the entire people of Kano State, praying for eternal rest for the deceased and strength for those affected by the tragedy.

“The murder of a mother and her innocent children is unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstances,” the governor said, vowing that those responsible would be brought to justice.

He directed the Kano State Police Command to immediately track down the perpetrators and ensure their arrest and prosecution, warning that anyone found culpable would “face the full wrath of the law.”

Governor Yusuf also ordered the Kano Neighbourhood Corps to intensify patrols and community surveillance in vulnerable areas to strengthen grassroots security and prevent a recurrence.

He urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by reporting suspicious activities, assuring them that his administration remains fully committed to protecting lives and property across the state.
