The Inspector General of Police, Alkali Usman Baba and personnel of the Nigeria Police Force have been plunged into mourning the death of six mobile policemen yesterday in Anambra State.
The six men were part of the security details attached to Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial Zone.
The Senator’s Convoy was attacked at Enuguw Ugwu in Anambra State, leading to the deaths of several people, including six policemen. The Senator, however, was said to have escaped death by the whiskers.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but the governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo has placed security agencies on full alert to catch the killers.
