Lagos NSCDC Cracks Down On Vandals Destroying Armoured Cables In Amuwo-Odofin

-

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, has commended the Amuwo-Odofin community for their cooperation and intelligence sharing, which has strengthened the fight against vandalism.

The Command noted that this collaboration was a direct outcome of robust community engagement sessions held with stakeholders during the first and second quarters of 2026.

Acting on credible intelligence provided by residents, NSCDC operatives achieved another breakthrough in curbing the destruction of electrical armoured cables in the Amuwo-Odofin axis. The incident occurred on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, when vandals were caught in the act at 4:35 p.m., following an alarm raised by vigilant community members.

The Lagos Command confirmed that investigations into the matter are ongoing, while reiterating its commitment to safeguarding critical infrastructure across the state.
