Lagos Police Arrests 3 Suspected Robbers Connected to Series of Attacks in Estate

-

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested three suspected armed robbers linked to a series of attacks at an estate in Sangotedo area of Lekki/Ajah, on April 11 and 13, 2026.

The suspects, Balogun Teslim, Suleman Balogun, and Peter Oluwagbemi, were apprehended following a distress call. Recovered items include a locally made pistol loaded with six rounds of 9mm ammunition, two black face masks, a hammer, ropes, a large roll of cellophane tape, two black jackets, and a pair of pliers.

Police said the suspects were attacked by an angry mob before officers arrived at the scene. They were rescued and taken to a police medical facility, where they are currently receiving treatment.

According to the police, two of the suspects have confessed and identified one Kinsley, who is currently at large, as the alleged gang leader. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspect.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, reiterated the command’s zero tolerance for violent crimes and cautioned residents against jungle justice.
