LASTMA, other emergency responders rescue 3 accident casualties at Ojuelegba

Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Police and other emergency responders around 10:30 pm (Sunday, 24th of September, 2023) rescued three casualties from a trapped saloon car at Ojuelegba inward Stadium on Funsho Williams Avenue, Surulere, Lagos.

 

Traffic Officer Olajide Olukoga ‘Bravo’ who led the Lastma rescue operations at the scene of the accident confirmed that a 40ft container fell on top of a Toyota Corolla car (JJJ 811 FB) at the top  Ojuelegba bridge inward Stadium.

 

He confirmed further that out of those three casualties rescued from the Toyota Corolla saloon car, only one (male) came out unhurt and was allowed to go immediately.

 

The remaining two rescued casualties (an adult male and a female) were rushed to hospital by an ambulance belonging to LASEMA.

 

Policemen from the Surulere Police Division were at the scene to provide adequate security.

 

The entire Ojuelegba Bridge inward Stadium was temporarily closed and traffic was diverted to the service lane by LASTMA Officials.

 

Rescue and recovery operators completed at 11:30 pm yesterday night and the temporary closed Ojuelegba bridge was opened back for vehicular movement by LASTMA officials by 11:20 pm yesterday night.
