…Attends APC Primary Instead
Mr Isaac Fayose, brother to former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has criticised President Bola Tinubu over his continued silence on the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, in which one teacher was reportedly decapitated.
Fayose alleged that the President neither addressed the nation nor visited the victims, and was instead in Lagos for his party’s primary election.
“So many school children and teachers were kidnapped in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, and one of their teachers was beheaded. President Tinubu did not make any nationwide broadcast to address the issue. He is currently in Lagos and did not visit them, yet today he is out for his primary election,” Fayose said.
The statement has caused widespread debate online, with Nigerians divided over the President’s priorities and the broader state of security in the country.
@EsosaIghodaro2: “So sad! How can a leader not have feelings for the masses, and the same leader wants the masses to vote for him for a 2nd term? If Trump didn’t intervene last October, he won’t do anything about the killings. He is interested in rigging/winning elections for a 2nd term.”
@KikeTemitops: “The reason why you are crying now is because of your own selfish gains, not because of the kidnapped people.”
@SteveBunmi: “What have you done to help the victims yourself? Stop building up propaganda. You’re all birds of the same feather. You come out to speak when the ball isn’t rolling in your court. Nigerians know what they want, and they’ll go for it when the time is right. Youths on the way!”
@ajayi_femmy01: “You’re a fool. Measures are already being taken. We have all seen it. Stop this nonsense, all in the name of engagement and tarnishing the nation’s image.”
@thisstephenrare: “If people talk about this, some idiot will say it’s tribalism. I wonder how people think. The President is not your brother, not even from your state, but tribalism would make you turn a blind eye. If Tinubu performed well, of course, no one would complain.”
@kingkhone4real: “How many families did he visit up north? All lives are precious. No one is more important than another. The north has been and still is suffering at the hands of these pampered terrorists, yet we have heard so little noise from the south in support of them. Why are we such hypocrites?”
@Fried1990: “As we are calling out our president, let us not forget to call out your governor, your senator, your house members, your local government chairman and councillor, including all elected members. I’m not in support of what’s happening, but governors are the chief security officers of their states.”
@20013bp: “I said nothing could shock me again in this country, but this one shocked me. If Tinubu cannot protect only the Southwest, where can he truly protect? I ask again whether you guys are sure Tinubu is truly a Yoruba man? Even the Nigerian masses are silent.”
@UzukeM: “Tinubu’s callousness is second only to a crocodile. Yoruba people think Tinubu cares for them. Make Fulani take control of Yoruba land as long as they give him a 2nd term, nothing concerns Tinubu. Yoruba will suffer long on account of Tinubu. God bless Biafra.”
@that_cryptoguyy: “So many Nigerians with their right senses are still campaigning for this man. I can’t believe it.”
@Blissful1235314: “With this nonchalant attitude towards killings in Nigeria, it is obvious we have the answer we’ve been asking ourselves during and after the #EndSARS killings.”
@onlineguru__: “Tinubu is done with governance since the beginning of this year. He’s only interested in elections. We are literally without a President now. The governors are no different; everyone is only interested in the next election.”
@qquietstorm042: “His spokesperson, Bwala, was shamelessly telling people to defend themselves on TV. This is the worst government in the history of this sham called Nigeria.”
@FUNSHOONIF43070: “The president and APC have weaponised the masses and citizens with poverty. Tinubu understands the power of using money to manipulate voters for his own selfish interest. The government doesn’t care and is not ready to solve the kidnapping and banditry in the country; all it cares about is his re-election.”
@Fortunejz4z: “No worry, it’s a family business, why would he announce it to the world? Wait until the killings spread across all of Yorubaland. Kwara’s chapter has finished; now we’re in Oyo. Another season of the same film.”
@EmekaEzeanya: “While children and teachers are still in captivity, the President stays mute, skips the scene, and flies to Lagos for a primary election. Isaac Fayose just spoke a bitter truth: when tragedy strikes the people, governance goes silent, but political self-preservation never sleeps. Leadership isn’t measured by how loudly you celebrate victory, but by how quickly you show up in sorrow. Right now, the priorities are dangerously inverted. A nation watches. And remembers.”
