Police Disown Fake Recruitment Notice, Warn Prospective Constables Against Misinformation

-

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has disowned a publication circulating on social media directing prospective Police Constable recruits to report for training on September 18, 2026.

The Force, in a disclaimer issued on Thursday, described the publication as fake and said it did not emanate from the Nigeria Police Force.

According to the NPF, “the said publication is not an official communication of the Force and should be disregarded.”

The Force advised all prospective trainees to rely only on information provided through their respective recruitment portals and the official communication channels of the Nigeria Police Force for authentic updates on the recruitment and training exercise.

The police also urged members of the public to desist from circulating unverified information capable of creating confusion or misleading prospective recruits.

“All prospective trainees are advised to rely solely on information communicated through their respective recruitment portals and the official communication channels of the Nigeria Police Force for verified and authentic updates regarding the recruitment and training exercise,” the statement said.

The Force further called on the public to verify recruitment-related information through official channels before sharing it.
