The Nigerian Bar Association has organized a-day training for police officers of Lagos State Command with a view to deepening their knowledge regarding their roles in implementing the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Hundeyin, said that the training was also the need for the police personnel to observe principles that ensure the protection and preservation of human rights.

The training which was carried out in partnership with the MacArthur Foundation is aimed at enhancing the capacity of officers and men of the command in their constitutional mandate of protecting lives and property as well as the observance of respect for the Rule of Law while carrying out their duties.

The image maker said: “The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, while deeply appreciating the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) for organising the training has assured that officers and men of the Command will put the acquired knowledge to bear in the discharge of their statutory duties.”
