The Homicide detectives of the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department (SCIID), Panti, Yaba, Lagos State, have launched an investigation into the murder of Destiny, a bartender, who was allegedly beaten to death by some soldiers on the instruction of his boss, Victor, who is a club owner and his brother, Temple.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident, said that he was trying to gather the facts of the matter before he could speak officially.

Our reporter, however, learned that Destiny, a bartender, working in a club along Ago palace way, was allegedly beaten to death by soldiers on the instruction of his boss, Victor, and his brother, Temple.

An eyewitness, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: “Destiny, while at work was beaten to death by the club owner, Victor and his brother, Temple. The brothers gave the order to security men to beat Destiny, he was beaten to a stupor, leading to his death.

“Destiny was beaten to death by these wicked brothers simply because the DJ turntable mixer got missing in the Club. He was unjustly blamed for it without further inquisition. Temple, not only used the military men to beat the boy, but after they left, he continued beating the boy till he passed out and was in a coma.”

The eyewitness alleged that the brothers had claimed to be above the law, feeling they could get away with anything because of money.

“Not only are these people, murderers, they also use their money to hide all their atrocities. We are appealing to people to help broadcast and help so that justice be served. The matter is currently before the police. Destiny does not deserve to die! Destiny deserves to get justice for what has been done to him. His family is in pain and helpless because they are poor.”
