Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command have intercepted armed hoodlums in the Obosi area of the state and recovered two pistols from them.
The Police spokesman, Ikenga Tochukwu said that the arrested suspects are Amaechi Precious, 25, from Obosi, and Almazer Avalumo, 25, from Adikpo in Benue State.
Tochukwu explained that Police Personnel in Obosi while on patrol on 20th of July 2023 at about 11:30 am, intercepted a three-man criminal gang riding a tricycle around Littlewood Estate.
He said: “The gang which engaged Police Operatives in a firefight bowed to the superior firepower of the Operatives who arrested two of them with gunshot wounds. Two Berreta Pistols and two rounds of ammunition were recovered from the hoodlums. The third suspect managed to escape. The Commissioner of Police CP Aderemi Adeoye has charged Police Officers to sustain the fight against criminal elements wherever they may be lurking.”
