The Police Service Commission (PSC) has reaffirmed its commitment to timely resolution of disciplinary matters and appeals within the Nigeria Police Force, ensuring that officers found innocent are not hindered in their career progression.

Among the decisions reached, the PSC dismissed allegations against Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Bzigu Yakubu Kwazhi Dali, mni, regarding falsified enlistment dates and irregularities in his service record. The Commission deemed the anonymous petition from senior officers in Adamawa State as frivolous.

In another major decision, the Commission reviewed the compulsory retirement of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ejiofor Grace Obiageli, following the tragic incident of September 8, 2023, at Old Netim Division, Akamkpa, Cross River State. The PSC approved her reinstatement, effective from the date of her retirement, and directed that she be properly placed to align with her peers.
