The Police Service Commission (PSC) today hosted a courtesy visit from the Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria, the research and training arm of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), at its Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
Leading the delegation, Provost of the Academy, Professor Sheriff Ghali Ibrahim, emphasised that the visit was aimed at deepening collaboration with the PSC in building public trust, promoting accountability, and reinforcing integrity within the public service.

He praised PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), mni, describing him as a “beacon” in the fight against corruption whose contributions continue to strengthen the ICPC’s mandate.
During the meeting, the Academy presented its 2026 training programmes, seeking PSC’s support in advancing attitudinal change and capacity building across the public sector.

In his response, PSC Chairman Argungu welcomed the partnership and reaffirmed the Commission’s readiness to expose its staff to ethical standards and the dangers of corrupt practices.

Drawing from his experience as a former Director of Investigation at the ICPC, he noted that “successful prosecution of corruption cases depends on the diligence of the investigator,” stressing the importance of continuous training in investigative ethics.

Also speaking, Hon. Justice Paul Adamu Galumje JSC (rtd), a member of the PSC Board, commended the initiative and assured the delegation of the Commission’s sustained commitment to the collaboration.
