Customs Commends EFCC for Fostering Collaboration Among Security Agencies

-

The Nigeria Customs Service has commended the  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,  for continuously sustaining collaborative ties with various stakeholders in the anti-corruption fight.

This commendation was given  on Wednesday,  November 15,  2023, in Kaduna by Assistant Comptroller General of Customs,  ACG I.Q Ogbudu
who led a team of senior officers in the Customs  Zone B Headquarters on a courtesy visit to the Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC.
Ogbudu says that synergy with the  EFCC always encourages and  promotes understanding on how best to support the Commission in the anti-graft crusade.   She explained that law enforcement agencies needed to be closely knitted  “as a tree cannot make a forest.  Let’s work as a team in order to achieve our collective mandates”.  She also applauded the appointment of women as Zonal Commanders in the EFCC.
Responding, the Acting Zonal Commander, Kaduna Zonal Command, Assistant Commander of the EFCC,  ACE I Aisha Abubakar welcomed the entourage. It noted that the Nigeria Customs Service has always been supportive of the anti-corruption fight “because we have over the years carried out so many tasks together geared towards making our country a safe and habitable place”.
She cautioned that there is still much to do as stakeholders working towards one purpose of supporting the government to achieve its goals and objectives. She stressed that law enforcement agencies must always exhibit professionalism, integrity, hard work and collaboration in the course of carrying out their assignments.
