CRAN Congratulates FPRO Adejobi on Promotion to Deputy Commissioner of Police

-

The Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN) has congratulated the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Mr. Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on his recent promotion to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).

In an official statement signed by CRAN President, Mr. Olalekan Olabulo, the association described the promotion as a well-deserved recognition of DCP Adejobi’s professionalism, dedication, and significant contributions to strengthening police–media relations in the country.

“Since assuming the office of Force PRO, DCP Adejobi has displayed outstanding leadership, openness, and a collaborative approach that has enhanced the relationship between the Nigeria Police Force and the media,” CRAN noted.

The association praised Adejobi for his commitment to transparency and the prompt dissemination of credible information, which it said had earned him the respect of journalists and the public.

CRAN also commended the Inspector-General of Police and the Police Service Commission for acknowledging Adejobi’s exemplary service and promoting him accordingly.

“We are confident that DCP Adejobi will continue to serve with distinction, integrity, and innovation in his new capacity,” the statement added.

The association further expressed appreciation for the FPRO’s accessibility and consistent support for crime reporters, noting that his engagement with the media has helped combat misinformation and improve public perception of the police.

CRAN pledged its continued collaboration with the police under Adejobi’s leadership, particularly in promoting public safety, trust, and responsible crime reporting.

The statement concluded with a message of goodwill, wishing DCP Adejobi continued success, wisdom, and protection as he takes on greater responsibilities in service to the nation.
