Kebbi State Senator Garba Maidoki has raised serious concerns over the Federal Government’s handling of intelligence and security operations following recent terrorist activities in the North-West.
In a statement shared on social media on November 26, Maidoki alleged that authorities possess detailed knowledge about Boko Haram and bandit networks but have failed to act decisively.
“We know who Boko Haram and bandits are, where they are, and what they want. We know everything, so why is the Nigerian government covering it up?” he queried.
The senator further demanded transparency regarding the withdrawal of soldiers from the Mega School in Kebbi State shortly before terrorists struck. He called for an immediate investigation into who ordered the troops to vacate the area, describing the timing as highly suspicious.
Maidoki’s remarks add to rising public frustration over recurring attacks and perceived lapses in Nigeria’s security architecture. His call for accountability comes amid renewed pressure on the government to strengthen protection for schools and vulnerable communities across the region.
