ZEEC Foundation Marks International Women’s Day with “Give to Gain” Campaign

-

A non-profit organisation, Zach and Eunice We Care Foundation (ZEEC Foundation), has marked the 2026 International Women’s Day with the launch of a campaign aimed at promoting the rights, protection, and empowerment of women and girls across Nigeria.

The organisation unveiled the initiative in Lagos on March 8 as part of activities to commemorate the global celebration. The campaign, tagged “PPP 2026: Power. Protection. Possibility.”, aligns with the 2026 International Women’s Day theme, “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.”

According to the foundation, the campaign seeks to raise awareness on the importance of empowering women, strengthening protection systems, and creating opportunities that enable women and girls to live free from violence, discrimination, and inequality.

ZEEC Foundation noted that the “Give to Gain” campaign encourages individuals, organisations, and government institutions to contribute positively to society by supporting initiatives that advance the safety, rights, and development of women and girls.

Activities lined up for the 2026 celebration include community awareness outreaches, advocacy for gender justice, youth and women empowerment engagements, public sensitisation on protection against gender-based violence, as well as media and social campaigns promoting equality and dignity.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Executive Director of ZEEC Foundation, Miss Ogunleye Yuhniece Abike, said the campaign aims to inspire collective action toward building a safer and more inclusive society.

“When we give support, protection, and opportunities to women and girls, society gains peace, growth, and justice. Through PPP 2026 – Power, Protection and Possibility – we are calling for real action to ensure that no woman is left behind,” she said.

The organisation also called on community leaders, government agencies, civil society organisations, and members of the public to support efforts aimed at building a safer and more just Nigeria for women and girls.

The statement was issued by the Programme Director of the foundation, Aderemi Blessing, as part of activities marking the 2026 International Women’s Day celebration.
